Q: I started having breast tenderness yesterday and it hurts to the touch. I went to webmd and it said it is normal to have breast tenderness right before and during the menstral period but i am on birth control and i dont get my period is it normal to still have pain or should i be worried?
A: Birth control can also cause breast tenderness, especially ones high in estrogen. If the pain is cyclical, it is probably related to hormones. Breast pain may be seen in pregnancy. It is rarely associated with breast cancer
